First day of the week

Sunday "July 10, 2005","3 Tammuz 5765"

While serving at 29 Palms, California I asked GySgt John Heyden, our bases’ Jewish Lay Leader if a day or two had ever been lost or gained in the interval we call a week.  John was adamant that this had never happened.  So Shabbat, the Sabbath and last day of the week falls precisely on the seventh day interval from that first day of rest in Eden.  I have some faith that he is correct.

Just short of three hundred thousand weeks by most theologians counts.  Exponentially more by the count of those who understand it would take billions of universes filled with billions of billions of years for life to have evloved as we know it.  How fortunate we lie within this one so special place.
