Picked up my rented tux so I guess I’m ready to give the Bride away.
You will recognize the old Shaker hymn "Simple Gifts" in John Williams "Air and Simple Gifts. The words are to me profound and the tune never fails to prick my heart. To juxtapose the essence of simplicity with the grandeur of the inauguration of our President makes it even more poignant. Here from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_Gifts are the words:

Very interesting. I feel really stupid not remembering ever hearing of most those on the list.
